The main task of the Sapio Group, which has been in existence since 1922, is to supply oxygen to patients with corresponding medical conditions. The associated responsibility for customers also means that route planning must fulfil certain requirements. For example, customers only have certain time slots in which they can be supplied with oxygen. Added to this is the merger of two companies, Sapio Life and GTI medicare, each with two independent supply networks.
The results are impressive: Together with gts, Sapio was able to optimise the delivery networks of both companies by utilising the full potential of existing locations. In addition, a reduction of 10 to 15% in delivery costs was achieved by taking a holistic view of all locations.
