Challenges in drone planning.
Operational flight planning is one of the biggest challenges in modern drone logistics. Coordinating multiple drones simultaneously, making optimal use of limited landing sites and complying with legal requirements requires a high degree of planning intelligence and flexibility. Each landing involves various post-processing times, such as preparing for the next flight and replacing batteries. During this time, the drone cannot be actively used. In addition, take-off and landing manoeuvres must currently be monitored by an operator, as fully autonomous flight operations are not yet permitted in the United Kingdom. This means that a pilot must always be available to intervene and monitor the process.
