L'ultimo miglio rappresenta una sfida importante per i fornitori di servizi, le aziende di logistica e, in particolare, i fornitori di servizi di corriere espresso (CEP), soprattutto a causa del crescente volume di spedizioni derivanti dal commercio online. In genere, i costi dell'ultimo miglio rappresentano circa i 2\/3 dei costi totali dei servizi di spedizione pacchi.<\/p><p>Nella pianificazione dei percorsi, \u00e8 importante raggruppare i viaggi per la consegna in modo da ridurre al minimo lo sforzo. Un problema importante per i percorsi efficienti quando si consegnano ai consumatori finali \u00e8 quello di non incontrare i destinatari e le relative consegne ripetute. Per ovviare a questo problema, esistono alternative come la consegna a negozi di pacchi, stazioni di imballaggio e armadietti per pacchi. I servizi di consegna pacchi devono anche affrontare influenze stagionali talvolta estreme. La maggior parte delle persone conosce il periodo natalizio, quando i volumi possono pi\u00f9 che raddoppiare rispetto alle operazioni normali.<\/p><p>I droni per la logistica rappresentano uno scenario futuro per la consegna delle merci. Con l'aumento del volume dei pacchi, aumenta anche il volume del traffico, soprattutto nelle citt\u00e0.
