Every morning, it\u2019s the same story: the routes are planned, and then the first calls come in. A driver is off sick, a care home asks when the bus is arriving, and a passenger cancels at short notice or joins the journey at the last minute. Anyone who works in passenger transport is familiar with these moments. This is exactly where our telematics app, TransITMobile+, comes in. Together with the route planning software TransIT and the web module TransIT Web & Mobile, it connects planning, drivers, the service centre and care homes, ensuring that everyone involved is always on the same page.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Printed route lists, handwritten notes and telephone arrangements are a thing of the past. As soon as a route is approved in TransIT, it is digitally transferred to TransITMobile+ on the driver\u2019s smartphone or tablet. There, the driver can clearly see all the stops in the correct order, the passengers with their pick-up and drop-off points, as well as important information, such as wheelchair spaces, accompanying persons or special needs. This ensures that every driver starts the day well prepared.<\/p>

This is particularly valuable when a driver is unable to work and a stand-in driver takes over the existing route. The stand-in driver may not be familiar with the route, the passengers or their specific needs. With TransITMobile+, however, they still have all the necessary information to hand. This eliminates the need for time-consuming handover procedures and enquiries to the control centre, and ensures that the service remains reliable for passengers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

No day goes exactly to plan. If a passenger calls in sick or a journey is cancelled for any other reason, the route is adjusted in TransIT and the change is automatically sent to TransITMobile+. The affected stop disappears from the list or is marked as cancelled. If additional journeys are added at short notice, they also appear directly in the app. This saves unnecessary waiting times at the front door and numerous phone calls. At the same time, the driver\u2019s mind is free to focus on what matters most: transporting their passengers safely and reliably.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

For workshops, day care centres, schools and other organisations, it is crucial to know when their visitors will arrive. With the arrival monitor, on-site staff can see at a glance which vehicles are on their way and when they are expected to arrive. This makes it much easier to organise reception, care and the daily routine. Enquiries to the service centre become much less frequent, and the facility can identify delays \u2013 such as those caused by traffic jams or roadworks \u2013 at an early stage.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Service Centre remains the nerve centre of the entire transport operation. All information is consolidated in the TransIT Web & Mobile web module: route status, vehicle locations, completed and pending stops. Dispatchers can intervene as required, reschedule routes, reassign passengers to another vehicle or send messages directly to drivers via TransITMobile+. As this is a web module, no local installation is required.

A real-life example: If a vehicle breaks down in the morning and no replacement vehicle is available, the dispatch centre redistributes the affected passengers to other routes that still have free seats and are operating nearby. The relevant drivers receive the additional stops immediately in TransITMobile+, including all details regarding the new passengers. It\u2019s just as simple when an additional passenger needs to be picked up at short notice: the dispatcher selects a suitable vehicle, adds the stop, and the driver sees it straight away on their route. Rather than reacting to ad hoc requests, the control centre actively manages the process and maintains an overview even on hectic days.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Many organisations and service providers use the Vivendi sector-specific software. The interface between Vivendi and TransIT allows relevant data to be exchanged directly, such as information on the attendance and absences of those in care. If an absence is recorded in Vivendi, it can be transferred to the route planning system without anyone having to enter the information twice. The updated route is then transferred to TransITMobile+ as usual. This reduces the risk of errors and ensures that the planning department, transport service and care home are all working with the same data.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
